CES: Consumer Electronics Show

The CES is a trading show which usually introduces previews of new products or new products themselves. It is held in the Las Vegas Convention Centre in Las Vegas, Nevada and is considered a major technology trade show.

Two technical innovations were introduced at this show last night:
Project Natal - basically it's an advanced Wii for the Xbox 360 which, without a game controller, uses gestures, spoken commands or presented objects or images to be controlled.

HP/Microsoft Slate - A Slate PC, resembling a writing tablet, is a PC which by its smaller size, does not have a keyboard. It relies on its user to handwrite by the use of the fingertip or stylus.
