The Apple Tablet

Apple is ready to release its announcement party for this new gadget later this morning. In theory, the Tablet should fall between a Macbook, and an iPod touch with its computing capabilities as well as its developed multimedia technology. Supposedly, with no keyboard, it is likely that the Tablet will be most used for its video and music features; a developed iTunes will be present. It will also be capable of reading ebooks, magazines, and newspapers, and will make gaming one of its other main features. The 'no-name' will be about 10 inches and will have a touch OLED screen which is defintely a bummer compared to the LCD display. It is expected to fall between $500-$2000 but by the iPod beginning at $399, and the MacBook at $999, it would make sense that the Tablet should begin below $1000. Overall, we're looking forward to this great innovation, whether its named either the iSlate or iPad--its two most plausible names.
