Haiti, a Caribbean island country, was struck by an earthquake yesterday which centered at the city of Port-Au-Prince. The country, being east of Cuba, and surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, was hit with a magnitude of about 7.0, and affected thousands, causing many injured and several deaths. Many countries have shown further support towards Haiti, such as Canada, of whom, has pledged $5 Million, as well as their disaster response team, DART including rescue aircraft packed with medical aid.
